One and Done

One golfer per event. Once you use a player, they're gone for the rest of the year. Their prize money adds up all season, and the biggest total wins.

What is a One and Done golf pool?

One and Done is the classic season-long golf pool. Each week you pick a single golfer, and whatever he earns that week goes into your bank. The rule that makes it hard: you can never pick him again. Scottie Scheffler can win you a fortune, but only once.

That turns every pick into a trade-off. Use a star now and you lock in a big week, but he's gone for the majors. Save him and you need someone else to carry you this week.

How to play

  1. Join or start a league. Share the invite link with your group.
  2. Make one pick per event. Choose any golfer in the field you haven't used yet.
  3. Lock it before the first tee time. Pin High sends a reminder so you don't miss a week.
  4. Bank the prize money. Your golfer's official earnings are added to your season total.
  5. Most money at the end of the season wins.

Why prize money?

Scoring by prize money rewards picking the right golfer for the right week. A win at a major or a signature event pays far more than a win at a regular tour stop. Missed cuts earn nothing, so a safe top-20 can be worth more than a long shot who goes home on Friday.

One and Done strategy

Plan around the purses

The majors and The Players carry the biggest purses. Most winning seasons save at least a few elite golfers for those weeks instead of spending them in January.

Win the regular weeks with course fit

At smaller events, look for golfers with strong history at that course or in that region. A specialist who finishes top 10 is a better use of a pick than burning a star.

Watch what your league has used

If most of your league used the same favourite early, you can win the weeks they can't cover by going a different way. Pin High shows which golfers you've used and your league's standings, so you can plan.

Frequently asked questions

How is a One and Done golf pool scored?

Your golfer's official prize money for the week is added to your season total. The entrant with the most prize money at the end of the season wins.

Can I pick the same golfer twice?

No. Every golfer is one-and-done: once you've used a player, he's off your board for the rest of the season.

Do the majors count in One and Done?

Yes. The season includes regular tour stops and the majors, and the majors' bigger purses make them the most important weeks to plan for.

What's the difference between One and Done and 5 Majors?

One and Done is one golfer every tour event, scored on prize money. 5 Majors is a four-golfer card plus two alternates for five big events only.
